Studio Photography #14

And here we have pictures of my god awful dog, Emma, whom I really don't like. (Like honestly if you want her take her, I don't want her.) She is constantly a bi- brat. She barks all the time, goes to the bathroom in the house, even if we just walked her!!!, and is utterly spoiled by my aunt and my mom. On the plus side she is very pretty and intelligent and was bred to be a show dog, hence her attitude... but, anyways, long story short, I've tried my best to like this dog but its just never going to happen so please take her. Thanks.

Here is my mom! She has been a constant source of support and love my whole life. She allowed me to be free and create as a child, and still allows me to be my own person to this day (with obvious limitations of course). She is a nurse and in college to get her Masters Degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. As shown in the first picture, she is constantly working to keep us steady, but outside of that she loves to draw and spend time with me and my dog. She loves that dog. I don't, but the only reason we keep that dog is because my mom is completely in love with her haha.

Here are pictures of my and my boyfriend! We started dating back in February and since then I'm the happiest I've ever been <3 As an only child, I clearly missed the experience of being part of a large family, but he is now as much a part of my family as I am his. He is constantly there for support and comfort, and I am always offering my support to him as well. Basically, I like him a lot. Like a whole lot. Like I have a huuugeee crush on him. He's really amazing. (Have I made this cringy enough yet?)

These are my cats! I got them for my birthday about four years ago (we were only supposed to get one, but they came as a bonded pair) and I have never been happier! I love both of them with all my heart. They enjoy cuddling, playing with hair ties, sleeping, and getting in the way of and work. The one with white on his chin is named Tyler, and the one colored fully orange is Pudgy. We call him this because he is a bit on he big side heheh. Pudgy, as we were told, also had a bit of...trouble at birth and we believe him to have slight...mental issues, but that just makes him more lovable and amazing!! I love both of them equally and they make my day so much happier <3

Studio Art Project

I loved doing this project! I loved learning things about perspective and color theory. I often think I can draw and sketch well, but I don't really know how to color all that well. After doing this I feel like I learned a bit more!

Studio Photography #10

This is a picture of my backyard. I come out here often if I feel I have spent too much time inside or if I feel upset or sad. I sit down on the bottom step of my back deck, take my socks and shoes off, put my bare feet into the grass and feel the dirt. The feeling of the grass beneath my feet and the wind blowing around me gives me a sense of feeling grounded and helps me come back to reality if I am feeling anxious.

Studio Photography #9

This is a photo taken at a friend's house. I went over to play a game of Dungeons & Dragons and I had such a fun time! I love spending time over my friends' houses and especially playing D&D. This waterfall is found right in front of the front of their house and the first time I saw it I had to stop and stare for a bit! The landscaping is set up so beautifully.

I took another photo of my room! In this one I was looking to get a better view of the painting I have on my wall. It was done in Washington by spray paint artists on the sidewalks of downtown Seattle. Many of their paintings were of space and the city. I have been meaning to get it framed, but in the meantime I just love to stare at it.

Studio Photography #7

Here we go !! This is my space. This is where I spend 88% of my time when I am at home and where I am currently sitting as I am typing this. I hung Christmas lights and an old sheet above my bed for a calming aesthetic along with the painting I have next to my window. (The painting was done by an amazing spray-paint artist in Seattle when my mom and I visited there.) This is where I read, do homework, talk to my friends, etc. On my bed I keep four pillows, two soft blankets, two computers, and two fluffy cats that love to cuddle !

Yes, I did choose my bathroom to be a place that means a lot to me. To be honest I probably spend more time in here on my phone than actually using the bathroom... Was that too much information??

Studio Photography #5

Cat!!! I love my cats to bits <3

Studio Photography #4

For this one, I wanted to try drawing over the picture I took so that I could easily manipulate what is shown and what is not. I drew over in a simple comic art style and also decided to fool around a bit and give myself some long blonde hair! :P I have never drawn in this style before, but it was fun and I may look more into this type of style.

Studio Photography #3

I'm just going to call this one simply, "Bedhead." I don't usually fix up my hair in a certain way, honestly I don't even brush it often. I simply do not need to. This picture was simply taken on Snapchat with a filter that I chose because I enjoyed the color scheme. These are the colors I usually go for when drawing.

Studio Photography #2

The book I am holding in my hand is called "Confessions of a Sociopath: A Life Spent Hiding in Plain Sight," by M.E. Thomas, and the books behind me are all books on psychology. However, while I myself have not been diagnosed as a sociopath, I have been diagnosed with other disorders that I have been dealing with for years now. I chose this book for the representation of the mask on the cover. To me it seemed to play as a symbol of the mask of control someone is meant to put on every day to be able to be seen as normal.

Studio Photography #1

To kick it off, I wanted to do something with negative space and stark contrast; something simple and elegant. It did not turn out exactly how I had planned, but I am still happy with the result. I would not consider this to be a direct photo, as you only see a side profile and not a full view of my entire face. I love the look of people's side views and wanted to contribute myself.  (*Disclaimer: This photo was not meant to be sexualized in any way. There is nothing inappropriate showing and if you are, for some reason, uncomfortable at the sight of my shoulder showing keep it to yourself.*)
