Studio Photography #1

To kick it off, I wanted to do something with negative space and stark contrast; something simple and elegant. It did not turn out exactly how I had planned, but I am still happy with the result. I would not consider this to be a direct photo, as you only see a side profile and not a full view of my entire face. I love the look of people's side views and wanted to contribute myself.  (*Disclaimer: This photo was not meant to be sexualized in any way. There is nothing inappropriate showing and if you are, for some reason, uncomfortable at the sight of my shoulder showing keep it to yourself.*)

  1. This reminds me of a photo from the 1940's. As well as an Erin Cone painting. Great use of light and shadow. Do I detect a faint MERGE in the lower right corner?
